Locust Hail

Locust Hail is a Canadian label focused on working with emerging artists with a strong artistic vision as well as reissuing out of print or rare albums. The label was started in 2015 by Jahmeel Russell who was working at the time with Los Angeles company Manimal PR on the release of Red Vienna’s first full length album The Book of Hours.

In 2020 the label announced Red Vienna’s Tomhet EP. Russell partnered up with close friend Adrian Mottram who directed two videos for the band and brought in Canadian PR company Looters to work the release. Following this, the pair realized they shared a similar passion for music, creating content, and working with artists. They decided to team up and work on future projects for the label together. 2020, has seen four releases altogether while three more are already planned for 2021.
